About Ludmila Korol
Ludmila was born in 1965 in the Ukraine. She graduated from Kiev State Academy of Fine Art in 1989. From 1992 to 1996 Ludmila lived and worked as an artist in Prague. In 1996 she moved to Kilkenny, Ireland where she worked as Art Director for the Kilkenny Gallery of Modern Art. In 1998 she moved to Dublin where she has now settled.
An extraordinarily talented artist, Ludmila uses a varied selection of media in her work, including tempera, acrylic, watercolour, oil and also some raw materials. She depicts caricatures, images of people, children and animals at play or relaxing in landscapes, townscapes and interiors of beauty and intrigue. Sometimes containing memories of her childhood in her Ukrainian homeland, her paintings are never boring and offer a sense of mystery and wonderment to the viewer. Works are in private collections in Ireland, Holland, France, Belgium, U.S.A.,South Korea, Australia and many other countries.
