Nicola Emoe was born in Dublin in 1970. She studied at the National College of Art & Design and at the College Of Marketing & Design. She completed the Crafts Council’s Business and Design Skills Course in Kilkenny in 1994.
Nicola’s work concentrates mainly on animal themes influenced from sketches made on her travels. She also likes working from whimsical storylines and old Irish poetry. Nicola works in a variety of mediums including print, collage -incorporating gold leaf – and painting.
Companies such as I.B.M., Eircom, Canada Life, The National Treasury and McConnells Advertising have commissioned Nicola’s art. Nicola’s work has been displayed at numerous exhibitions around Ireland as well as in Lisbon, Frankfurt and Atlanta, Georgia. Her work has also featured in calendars, greeting cards and most recently in “A Child’s Book Of Irish Rhymes”, compiled by Alice Taylor.
