"Autumn"

The first detail that stuns in this work is the loss of stability for the dancers, who seem to be floathing rather than dancing. By doing this Kovelinas conveys quite literally what ballet might be evoking in the viewer. The title of the painting might be hinting at the precariousness and the ephemereal nature of that profession, comparing the dancers to leaves falling in autumn by having them drift in the air
